Carlo e Attilio Spazzi

Verona 1854 – Verona 1936; Verona 1859 – Verona 1915

Carlo and Attilio, sons of the sculptor Grazioso Spazzi, they both trained in the paternal workshop. In 1880, they jointly signed their first work, the Monumento Franchini, preserved in the Monumental Cemetery of Verona. In 1898 the brothers also created the Monumento Pindemonte Moscardo, which is considered their masterpiece.

After the tragic death of Attilio, victim of the bombardment of the 14th of November 1915, Charles created two monuments dedicated to the fallen of World War I, preserved in the Liceo Maffei of Verona, and many other funerary sculptures inside the Monumental Cemetery. He died in Verona on the 18th of February 1936.
