The mother figure in the works of the Monumental Cemetery of Verona

On the occasion of Mother’s Day you will be guided through the works of the Monumental Cemetery of Verona, at the center of which is the maternal figure, on a journey that explores the ways of representing family affections within the burial ground.

The guided tour will begin in the main atrium to continue in the pantheon Ingenio Claris, where the poet and writer Caterina Bon Brenzoni is buried, and in the Cimitero Nuovo. The itinerary will end at the headstone of Umberto Boccioni, who rests next to his mother Cecilia, died eleven years later the futurist painter.

The initiative is free and will start at 10:30 am.

The guided tour will last approximately 90 minutes. The reservation will be considered valid only upon receipt of a confirmation from the organization’s staff.
