Valtancoli monument

The monument is dedicated to the Valtancoli family and consists of a slightly trapezoidal funerary stone placed on a stone base. On the stele are supported two female figures carved in marble: the soul on the right represents the pain of the loss of loved ones while the one on the left is comforting her and holding her hand. The subject of the work is explained by the inscription below which shows the Latin phrase “ANIMAS VINCIT DOLOR” (the pain wins the souls).
