Attilio Trentini tombstone

AUTHOR: Ruggero Dondé

The tombstone of Attilio Trentini, a painter of Veronese origins who died in 1919, was made by Ruggero Dondé.
The rosebuds and leaves carved in the small squares at the top center of the tombstone refer to the pictorial production of the artist, famous for his still lifes on canvas, glass and ceramic. Two female figures are symmetrically placed on the sides of the tombstone: the pose and the nudity are a tribute to classical art, while the helmeted hair with which they are portrayed testifies to the fashion of the 1920s.
