Serego Allighieri monument

AUTHOR: Romeo Cristani

The monument belongs to the Serego Allighieri family, descendant of Dante Alighieri: despite the fame he enjoyed in the Verona society of the time, a minimalist solution was adopted for the sepulcher and the mausoleum was built later than the initial project. Above the marble shelf leaning against the wall is a slab with an inscription and a bronze sculpture with a bouquet of flowers and a shield with the family crest. The shapes, profiles and details reflect the typical taste of the late nineteenth century.
