The monument was erected for the Rovato family and the statue in the center of the work is dedicated to Lucia Rovato, who died at the age of 22. The young woman is depicted with her hands on her chest while she is taking a step forward and on both sides there are devout souls kneeling and their arms stretched forward. The composition represents the soul of Lucia Rovato at the time of ascent from earthly life to the afterlife. On the base of the statue there is an epigraph in which one can read the name and dates of birth and death of the deceased and the motto “ANIMA PURA” (pure soul).
