Peruzzi monument

AUTHOR: Egidio Girelli e Rodolfo Dusi

The monument is dedicated to the Peruzzi family and was originally designed and built by Rodolfo Dusi. Following the damage suffered during the Second World War, it was remodeled and a bust sculpted by Egidio Girelli was added to the work. On a horizontal tombstone in black granite rests a bronze sculpture, made by Dusi, which represents a female figure while writing the word “PAX” (peace) in the middle of the vertical black marble tombstone. On the latter, the bust sculpted by Girelli was placed on the left, which shows Gabriele Peruzzi frontally. The original project also included two medallions with portraits of Peruzzi spouses, which no longer exist today.
