Zannoni monument

AUTHOR: Ugo Zannoni

In this sepulcher rests the mother of the sculptor Ugo Zannoni, who built the monument. The sepulchral space was obtained thanks to the exchange with the bust of Michele Sanmicheli, a young sculpture of the author offered by his father. For his mother’s grave, Zannoni chooses to represent an angel who writes the names of the dead on the history book. On the sculptor’s death, in 1919, a medallion was added where he was portrayed at a mature age.
