The monument is dedicated to the Valotto family and consists of a white marble sarcophagus with a medallion in the center depicting the head of a man wearing a toga.
Above the sarcophagus, two female figures are carved: a sore woman kneeling and holding hands with the head of a dead woman with a emaciated face stretched out and covered with a cloth. On the front of the sarcophagus is the Latin phrase “POSTERI TE SERVENT”, which means “the descendants watch over you”.
