Monumento Marchiori Mutinelli

Consisting of a gravestone in gray granite and a two-step podium placed on the back side, the monument is dedicated to the Marchiori Mutinelli family: in the center of the podium is a bronze statue depicting a seated female figure with an absorbed gaze hands clasped on the knees and, on the left, an hourglass. The two sculptural elements symbolically represent the pain of loss and meditation on the inexorable passing of time. The loose hair along the shoulders and the absorbed expression of the woman are typical elements of the stylistic taste spread in Italy starting from the Twenties.
