Trezza monument

AUTHOR: Ugo Zannoni

Monumento Luigi Trezza

The monument is located inside the family chapel and is dedicated to Luigi Trezza, owner of a tax collection agency on behalf of the public administration. On a high marble base decorated with small columns and friezes, Trezza is depicted at the point of death, seated on an armchair under a canopy, with the crucifix in his hands and his head reclined. At the foot of the base sit two female figures with the emblems and tools of agricultural work and industry. The heroic model is brought here in an intimate and bourgeois dimension, translated into the local reality of an entrepreneur whose professional qualities are enhanced by marbles and gilded friezes.
