Dedicated to the Emilei family, the monument is the oldest family tomb currently preserved in the Monumental Cemetery. The work is characterized by the use of a symbolic language of classical matrix: the aedicule has an inscription in Latin and is closed at the top by a pediment crowned by a lit lantern, symbol of the eternal life of the soul. Along the side pilasters, on the other hand, there are represented upside-down torches, a symbol of earthly life that is extinguished.
