Dedicated to the cavalier Teodoro Demel, the monument is composed of a male nude carved in marble and placed in front of an aedicule decorated with an angel in bas-relief: the seated young man represents pain and takes his face and eyes away from the angel behind him , which indicates the mortal destiny of human beings. Sculpture expresses the drama of man in conflict between the instinct of life and the inevitable reality of death.
