The monument was commissioned to Giovani Spazzi by the landowner Scipione Zorzi and portrays the lawyer Giovan Battista Cressotti. The imposing statue represents the criminal lawyer with his fluent toga while he is harangue. In the base of the sculpture there are several symbols: the laurel wreath, which represents the political and military activity of the deceased, the tables of the law, to remember his profession as a lawyer, the scales, a symbol of justice, the rake, the sickle and shovel, elements linked to the agricultural world in memory of the reclamation of an area of the east of Verona made possible thanks to Cressotti.
