Chiavellati monument

The monument was erected in memory of Carlo Chiavellati, a pilot who died in an accident during a car race, but the work has no elements that directly refer to the deceased. On a square base, a kneeling female figure is carved in white marble, depicted in a moment of pain and reflection on the ascent of the human spirit towards the sky.
