The monument is dedicated to Bruno Castellarin, a goldsmith, partisan and deputy mayor of Verona in the 1950s, and is the only one of the Monumental Cemetery to present the theme of Saint John the Baptist. The bronze statue depicts the saint at a young age and with a physique with female features. The work has slender and essential forms and has a dry and classic style, typical of twentieth-century sculpture. On the sides of the vertical tombstone are two scenes depicting the family goldsmith shop.
