Bazzoni monument

AUTHOR: Salesio Pegrassi

  • 1897
  • intercolumniation LXXXI

Dedicated to the architect Bazzoni and his wife, the monument is characterized by the color contrasts of the materials used: the structure is bluish black limestone while the figures are in white marble. On the base there are the architect’s tools of the deceased and the two medallions in which the Bazzoni spouses are represented. Above it is placed an angelic figure typical of the cemetery world with its wings spread, hands clasped and eyes turned towards the sky and on the top a cross adorned with a garland.
