Bassani monument

The monument is the only one to exceed the maximum dimensions allowed: in fact, in the lunette there is a sculpture dedicated to Giulio Bassani, who died at an early age. An angel in a horizontal position holds the little deceased in his arms to present him to God, as shown on the strip of paper he holds in his right hand. The rest of the mausoleum was severely damaged by bombing during the Second World War and there are no traces of the original appearance of the work.
